How's this for a fish story?

During this year's HIBT they launched the first ever "Great Marlin Race." The race involved the use of satellite tags sponsored by individual anglers or teams. A total of seven satellite tags were deployed during the tournament. The tags are set to pop-off at approximately 180 days. The Pacific Blue Marlin traveling the furthest distance from Kona will be declared the winner, and it's sponsors will receive a free entry to the 2010 HIBT. However, more important than winning the race, is the scientific data that will be collected from this event which will help ensure that Pacific Blue Marlin are around for future generations. The Great Marlin Race was conducted in conjunction with Dr. Barbara Block, from Hopkins Marine Station at Stanford University, and the Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament.
